Ooey Gooey Words

In this lifetime.. Goodbyes and heartbreak are almost inevitable. There's a beginning and there's an end. A point when everything you've known becomes everything you knew. And still, at the height of it all, it doesn't matter. Because there's no better feeling than being with someone who knows you and accepts you. Even for just a short while. That person becomes your other half - your reason for happiness. And it feels good because it just does. Because love makes us feel that way. That way that's indescribable. You don't think about the end because it seems too far away. And you don't think about the end because we're too young to be sad. But sometimes it just comes. The end of just a beginning. And for a moment, you wait. For somebody to shake you awake, and realize that you were only dreaming. Standing there numb, waiting as long as possible, until you realize nobody is coming to end this thing that feels like a nightmare. And so you run to the only place in this world where you know you are always welcome. The place you go to heal all the hurt. 

Home. 

But comfort comes from within you. You have to find it deep within yourself. 

And then it's there. 

That feeling of hope and happiness comes back. You let go, not out of weakness, but because you have accepted the fact that some things cannot be. And you finally feel the drive to move forward. You walk and then run, and soon enough you're going so fast that you don't have even a second of time to look back. 

And you forget about the pain because you want to. And because you need to. And while you are pursuing everything you wished to pursue, you find someone. In a place unexpected. And you feel something again. And because love makes us crazy, you take a chance on love for another time. And eventually, you find the one that will be yours for the taking. And that person alone makes all the pain you've ever felt... worth it. That person helps you to see the good in goodbyes. And you sit there and wait. And hope that nobody wakes you up from this dream.

And nobody does.
